

Support Service
The focus of this service is to provide support to people in their own home, matched to their needs.
Support workers wear many ‘hats’ such as promoting independence, supporting with home based or community activities, maintaining safety or usually a combination of roles.
We offer support packages from a minimum of 12 hours per week.
Support shifts are a minimum of 4 hours.

We know clients want, and need, the best support workers, so we have a robust recruitment process, provide a high level of mandatory and bespoke training with a strong clinical focus, robust supervision, pay a higher than average wage and offer fixed hours contracts to reflect the specialist nature and calibre of support workers.
Support workers provide support within the scope of their training and in line with written support plans that may be provided by our service or by other clinicians involved in the client’s support and rehabilitation package.
Support workers may support with:

Cognitive and executive functioning skills (memory, attention, processing information, planning, problem solving, inhibiting, initiating)

Getting around (walking, transferring, using equipment, travelling)

Emotional coping

Staying safe

Completing therapy tasks

Meeting dietary needs

Establishing and maintaining daily/weekly routines and structure

Supported parenting

Administration and/or finances (managing bills, dealing with letters, staying organised)

Household management (cooking, budgeting, shopping)

Building and maintaining relationships

Fatigue management

Managing health and medical conditions including medication management

Work (voluntary/paid) or educational activity

Leisure and social activities (finding suitable activities, participation)

Rehabilitation Practitioner Service
This service is focused on supporting clients with rehabilitation-specific activities.
Rehabilitation is provided within the scope of the practitioner’s training, in line with written rehabilitation plans, and either under the direct instruction and supervision of our clinicians or referring clinicians.
This service provides rehabilitation assistance for a minimum of 1 hour per visit to a maximum of 3 hours per visit.
There is no minimum requirement on weekly hours.
Rehabilitation practitioners have an educational or vocational background in an appropriate area of healthcare or science to ensure they are suitable for this role and work with us on a self-employed basis.
